Common Patient FAQs

  • We are physical therapy that comes to you! We can treat patients in the comfort of their homes, office, or gym. We also see patients in their adult day program or senior community. When treating patients in their office or gym, we will need permission from your organization/company.

  • We proudly serve the greater Northeast Pennsylvania (NEPA) and surrounding areas.

  • In most cases No. All of our therapists are approved direct access providers in Pennsylvania. This means they can work with you for up to 30 days without a doctor’s referral. After 30 days you will need a written prescription from your doctor. However, some insurance plans do require a referral/prescription from your PCP (primary care physician) or medical doctor before beginning physical therapy.

  • Most likely yes! We are In-Network with most major insurances and accept the following:

    • Medicare

    • Blue Cross Blue Shield

    • Aetna

    • Humana

  • No problem! If you have out-of-network benefits, we provide paperwork that allows you to submit to your insurance for reimbursement on your own. We also offer affordable self-pay options for physical therapy, personal training, and nutrition consulting.

  • Your one-on-one session is 40-60 minutes long, depending on your plan of care, injury, and recovery plan needs.

  • Wear comfortable clothes and supportive sneakers.

  • No exercise equipment? No problem! We will bring all the exercise equipment to you!

  • We understand things happen. If you need to cancel, please call Prime by 2:00 p.m. the day before your appointment. Late cancellations and no-shows are subject to a $25.00 fee.

  • We accept cash, check, and credit card. It is our policy that payments are made at the time of service.
